I completed my open water certificate with Academy Divers. All I had to do was turn up, all the equipment was there for me, and all good quality. The instructors were excellent, I was very nervous about learning to dive but they helped me overcome my fear and showed great patience. I wanted to complete my open water before going on holiday and as time was very tight the instructors went out of their way by going to Capernwray on extra days to get me through. There are regular meetings, we get together every other Wednesday and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I have made new friends with academy divers.

With only 6 weeks to get me to complete the PADI Open water qualification my instructor, Andy Colley( now the owner of Academy Divers), was brilliant

His one-to-one instruction, his understanding of what needed to be done, and his willingness to put in all the time needed, were all second to none.

Although it was extremely hard work, I can honestly say that it was an amazingly enjoyable experience. Being taught by someone whose dedication, enthusiasm ( and persistence!) not only enhanced the learning situation, but really filled me with the confidence which led to success

I decided to learn PADI Open Water, in order to dive whilst on my honeymoon in Mauritius. Andy and his team were very friendly, and made the experience understandable and easy. The facilities are great, and easily accessible off the M1. My initial intention was to learn as a holiday hobby. However, this soon changed, and I managed to complete my advanced course as well.
